Chief Financial Officer

with Power Forward Communities

The Organization

Overview: Power Forward Communities’ (PFC) coalition of five of the country’s most trusted national nonprofits – United Way Worldwide, Habitat for Humanity International, Enterprise Community Partners, Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC), and Rewiring America – have collectively spent decades building stronger, healthier, affordable communities and homes across urban, rural, and tribal areas nationwide. Together PFC will help Americans, especially those in low-income and disadvantaged communities, adopt clean energy technologies to save money on their home utility bills and improve their health.

The current landscape: PFC was awarded a $2 billion grant in the Environmental Protection Agency’s National Clean Investment Fund (NCIF) competition in 2024 and will begin to deploy those funds across its five coalition members in early 2025. To do so, PFC is in need of a CFO to lead the organization’s financial compliance practice, implement financial reporting systems, and develop relationships with the coalition organizations to ensure financial compliance across each organization.

WHAT STAKEHOLDERS SAY

“The number one [requirement] for the CFO role is government grants and contract experience, that's what this [role] is at its heart. This is going to be the person who's really responsible for the financial compliance piece; They're the one who is going to sign that statement every time we move money around that says, ‘Hey, this complies with all the rules.’”
