In a sentence: Village of Wisdom is a $4M Durham-based nonprofit organization that positions parents in places of power to create more culturally affirming learning environments for their children through a unique, multi-faceted approach that combines research, community engagement, and innovative programming.

The current landscape: Village of Wisdom is seeking to expand its culturally-affirming programming to impact more children and families. As the organization grows, it seeks an executive to manage Village of Wisdom’s day-to-day operations, team, and implementation of strategy while the Executive Director prioritizes fundraising and vision-setting.

WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH

MANAGE

and develop Village of Wisdom’s leadership team and department heads as the organization’s day-to-day leader.

TRANSLATE

the Executive Director’s vision into a fully operationalized strategic plan for the organization to execute.

DEVELOP

the systems, structures, and operational infrastructure required to grow the organization.

Start date: July 2025
Location: Remote, Durham HQ
Salary range: $130,000 - $150,000 plus benefits.
